GradFUTURES Website & Brand Launch

Website and Brand identity development for GradFUTURES professional development department at Princeton University

Princeton University – GradFUTURES

Challenge

GradFUTURES is Princeton University’s professional development initiative designed to support graduate students and postdocs through programming, resources, and events. In 2019, I was brought on during their startup phase to help translate their vision into a cohesive digital and visual presence.

They had a great name and a logo, but lacked a unified brand system, a website, or a consistent way to communicate with students and faculty. With several student events coming up, they needed to quickly establish credibility, increase visibility, and engage a large academic audience across digital and physical touchpoints throughout the university.

Solution

I collaborated with directors and faculty to design and develop the GradFUTURES web presence and supporting marketing assets, creating a cohesive brand ecosystem across web, email, print, and video.

Key contributions included:

  • Designing and building GradFUTURES web pages in Drupal, serving as a central hub for programs, events, and resources

  • Establishing a consistent visual identity system used across web, print, and social

  • Designing cohort logos and brand assets in Adobe Illustrator

  • Creating print marketing materials and signage using Adobe InDesign and Canva

"We were fortunate to engage Francine Henry as a graphic designer during the start-up phase of the GradFUTURES initiative. Francine immediately added value and became an integral and trusted member of our team. She took our vision and interpreted it in ways we could have never imagined: creating multiple design concepts that were well-aligned with our emerging new brand"
